This research investigates the effectiveness of self-regulation strategies applied to guitar teaching in a public institution, using a hybrid model that combines face-to-face classes with the support of an online platform. Based on the Human Agency Theory and studies on Self-Regulation in Music, the text describes common challenges such as time management and efficiency in instrumental practice. The teaching methodology was structured on technical and repertoire pillars and implemented two core strategies: the fragmentation of content into weekly micro-goals via study guides, and the technique of controlled repetitions for memorization. The results obtained with a heterogeneous group of students revealed 100% adherence and a perceived improvement in learning, highlighting the digital platform as an essential support for student autonomy. Through this research, we seek to demonstrate the use of self-regulation strategies in music and the use of a digital platform as viable situations for improving the musical instrument teaching process, thus aiming to encourage further research on these points.
