Abstract

This article presents the adaptation of administrative tools to the process of musical preparation, articulating them with metacognitive principles. Based on the literature on metacognition (Flavell, 1979), the research adopts a qualitative and applied methodological approach, grounded in autoethnographic procedures. Three tools were designed and tested: SWOT analysis, applied to planning; OKRs, for monitoring; and the MAI questionnaire, adapted for evaluation. Autoethnography enabled the integration of the performer’s experience with a reflective analysis of practice, revealing how planning, monitoring, and evaluation—key stages in the metacognitive process—can be reframed in the performative context. The results indicate that these tools provide support for the strategic organization of musical study, fostering the musician’s critical awareness and opening possibilities for future investigations in the fields of cognition and performance.
