Autocompaixão em músicos: teoria, relações com perfeccionismo e práticas autocompassivas como recurso à saúde mental

Resumo

Este artigo discute a autocompaixão como um recurso relevante para a saúde mental de músicos. A partir do modelo multidimensional proposto por Kristin Neff, são apresentadas evidências sobre seu papel protetivo diante do sofrimento emocional, das falhas e da autocrítica severa. Também se busca demonstrar a conexão entre a autocompaixão e o perfeccionismo, fenômeno frequentemente observado entre músicos e associado a sintomas de ansiedade, depressão e desregulação emocional. A análise das pesquisas disponíveis sugere que atitudes autocompassivas podem auxiliar músicos a enfrentar de forma mais equilibrada as pressões e desafios da prática e da performance, fornecendo recursos internos para lidar com as elevadas exigências. Por fim, discutem-se possibilidades de aplicação de estratégias autocompassivas no cotidiano musical, ressaltando sua contribuição para uma relação mais saudável e sustentável com a própria arte.
