This case study investigates the effects of music therapy intervention on the neuropsychomotor development of a patient with a chromosome 8 alteration. Seventeen music therapy sessions were carried out during 2024, with the aim of stimulating motor, cognitive, emotional, and communication functions. The methodology was based on neurological music therapy techniques, including the use of musical instruments, rhythmic and vocal improvisations, and structured activities. The results demonstrated significant advances in motor coordination, inhibitory control, attention, and musical engagement, despite persistent challenges in vocalization. This work highlights the potential of music therapy as an effective tool to promote global development in rare genetic conditions, contributing to the literature and opening avenues for new research in the area.
